Dr. Gonzalo Moreno

Dr. Gonzalo Moreno served as Secretary General of the Colombian Association of Flower Exporters (Asocolflores) and was in charge, along with the Executive President. He has been a lawyer for special projects of the Sanitas International Organization and a consultant for INCAE MBA Oath Club. He is a lawyer from the Javeriana University and the University of the Basque Country of San Sebastian, Spain. Specialist in Commercial Law and Tax Law; Master in Private Law, Universidad de los Andes. His academic training led him to pursue an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Sustainable Development at INCAE Business School in Alajuela, Costa Rica. He is also currently a professor of Commercial Law and Business Law at the Universidad de los Andes.

Yahira Piedrahita

Yahira Piedrahita

With more than 30 years of experience in the shrimp industry. She has held important positions as Director General of Aquaculture, Director of the National Fisheries Institute and since 2011 as Executive Director of the National Chamber of Aquaculture. She has worked as an expert in fisheries and aquaculture for the Dutch Import Promotion Centre (CBI). In 2015 she joined the Project Capacity Building Inititiative for Trade Development in India, as an expert on many topics in aquaculture. As a consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, in 2016 she carried out the diagnosis of the shrimp industry in Nicaragua and Colombia. She is an Aquaculture Engineer from ESPOL, a Master in Bioaquatic Resources Management from the University of Guayaquil and a diploma in fisheries economics from the Catholic University of Valparaíso.

Professional passionate about creativity and innovation on land, focused on action leadership, group builder, appetite for challenges and high-scoring goals.

Born in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, an accountant by profession with a specialty in finance, Lorena chose that career considering it essential in business management and as a means to improve her decision-making. President of ANFACA (National Association of Manufacturers of Food for Animal Consumption) until 2020. Director of the family business ALIPEC (Alimentos y Servicios Pecuarios S.A. de C.V).

Paola Muñoz

Executive Director of the Colombian Association of Industries of Edible Fats and Oils – “ASOGRASAS” since July 2017. Administrative experience in management positions in different private and governmental organizations in Colombia. Lawyer with specialization in public management and administrative institutions from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and PhD in Government and Public Administration from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. Fluent in two spoken languages (French and Italian) and fluent in English. He has received several awards as one of the “100 Most Successful Managers – category under 40 years” in Colombia in 2009, Order of Democracy Simón Bolívar in the degree Cross Grand Knight. Elected as one of the “business leaders of Colombia- Real Small Business Sector” in 2008. She has been a political advisor and manager in several companies.

Professor at the University of Zamorano for almost 25 years in the Department of Food Agribusiness. Zamorano graduate of the Class of 1980. Ph.D. from Kansas State University Department of Entomology with an emphasis on pest control in food and industrial grain storage and a sub-specialization in Agricultural Economics. Postdoc at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture at the Center for Biological Control, Benin, Africa. Various positions held in the industry and government of Honduras. Advisor on issues related to food loss assessment methodologies and applied statistics for different organizations. Guest speaker in several countries of North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean and Africa.

Zamorano graduate of the class of 2000. MBA from the Technological University of Central America. With more than 15 years working in different leadership positions at Regal Springs as head of processing plant, global production manager, general manager, director of operations, among others. He worked as a grain and seed production manager and irrigation instructor at Zamorano.
